Ember Wright is a hereditary Witch of an Oracle tradition derived from the ancient Norse tradition of the Vǫlur, known as the Priory of the Vala. They practice a form of Seiðr, employing yarn spinning and weaving to achieve their visions and influence destiny.
However, Ember has been raised in the non-magickal world and finds herself strongly drawn to all things fiber. Having learned to knit at a young age, she knits her own designs.
This scarf pattern is a variation of stripes. Rather than a contrasting color, this uses a row of yarn overs to separate garter rows of equal size to create stripes. A picot cast on and cast off replaces traditional fringe. though you could certainly replace the picots with fringe. The extreme length of this scarf, 10 feet, is a nod to the Fourth Doctor in the Doctor Who lineage, a favorite of the character (and the designer). You may knit it to any length you like.
